Bulgaria coach Krasimir Balakov resigns following racism backlash
Bulgaria coach Krasimir Balakov has resigned four days when England’s monetary unit 2020 qualifying win was overshadowed by racism from home supporters.
Monday’s match in Bulgarian capital was stopped twice due to racist abuse directed at England’s black players.
However, once the match Balakov, 53, aforesaid he “didn’t hear anything“.
“I am now not national team coach,“ Balakov told Bulgarian media after a gathering of the Bulgarian soccer Union on Fri.
According to reports from Bulgaria, the complete board of the Bulgarian soccer Union, together with president Borislav Mikhailov, has resigned.
“The performance of Bulgaria’s men’s national team in recent months has been represented as unacceptable, that is why Krasimir Balakov resigned,“ a press release from the organisation aforesaid.
Bulgarian authorities have thus far known sixteen suspects and created twelve arrests following the britain game.
Four supporters received fines and biennial bans on Thursday, with others remaining underneath investigation.

“I haven’t been a tutor in such an environment.

Balakov said on Monday night: “I was targeting the sport.
